The lead article in the April/May edition of Topeka Today tells about the amazing transformation of a client of the HCCI HOPE Program. HOPE stands for Helping Ourselves Prosper Economically, and is funded by the United Way of Greater Topeka. Participants in the HOPE program receive counseling services from HCCI, can receive legal assistance from Kansas Legal Services, and are assigned a volunteer mentor to help them on their journey to financial health. HCCI’s Rebecca Atnip does a great job overseeing the HOPE Program as its Director.
The Topeka Today article features Tracy, who not only turned around her family’s financial direction when she enrolled in the HOPE program, she also committed to a weight loss regimen that caused her to lose 180 pounds. Tracy appeared at the Board Retreat in January, and shared her personal testimonial.
